The group were given a guided tour round the Parliament buildings and found out how about different parliaments across the world, how the Scottish Parliament works, its purpose and who is in charge.
The pupils then spent some time watching part of a live debate and the daily 'Time for Reflection' section of the day from the viewing gallery of the debating chamber.
The pupils found the both the tour and debate fascinating and feel that the trip has definitely given them a good insight as to how decisions made by Parliament are formed.
