The theme of Holocaust Memorial Day this year was Standing Together and the service told the stories of genocide in Darfur, Bosnia, Cambodia as well as the Holocaust. As part of the service, one of our S6 pupils read a moving prayer to remember those who have suffered. Pupils were then invited to lay a pebble at the Memorial Tree, a Jewish tradition to signify that we have not forgotten those who have died.
Our pupils appreciated the opportunity to attend the service and were a credit to the school.
