Following a brief welcome and Headteacher's address from Ms Loudon, the audience were treated to a musical performance by 'High Tide', a group who made their debut performance in our Battle of the Bands competition earlier in the session. Our guest speaker, John McGee, then gave an inspiring talk to the pupils.
The S1 awards were then presented for Outstanding Effort and Academic Excellence and this was followed by one of our S3 pupils reading out their own creative writing piece, 'The Assassin'.
The S2 Outstanding Effort and Academic Excellence awards were then presented and this was followed by the winning group from the Youth Philanthropy Initiative final, sharing their winning presentation.
The S3 Outstanding Effort and Academic Excellence awards were then presented and this was followed by the final set of awards, our Special Awards. These were the Youth Philanthropy Initiative Award, Junior Physical Education Award, Junior Music Award, Junior Creative Writing Award, Special Award in Recognition of Outstanding Progress across the Curriculum, Award for Best Academic Performance in S1, Award for Best Academic Performance in S2 and the Junior Dux Award.
The evening ended with a Vote of Thanks to everyone who was involved in the Awards Ceremony.
